Cook Islands

White sand - shallow, warm, clear, turqois water - palm trees in the wind
See some of the most beautiful beaches in this blog...

Hi there! I'm glad to welcome you on our pages. Enjoy the Pics and try the links we listed for you. Some of them are simply fun but others are even useful... Have fun and enjoy!

Friday

Saying bye bye and kia orana to Aitutaki. As I said, we're heading for Rarotonga...

The plain goes of from the Aitutaki International Airport. Have closer look:

And then you can see the island from the sky. Beautiful.

Thursday

Preview:

The next time we'll jump over to Rarotonga. There we'll meet some gorgeous sunsets and some more nice people. Hope you visit this blog again?!?

Aitutaki
(all the pics by Michael)

Now lets have a look around the Island. The next pictures show you the tranquil islandlife. Hope you're getting infected and get some extra energy for the every day stress. Keep in mind: Paradise is out there...

This is the islands gouvermental house. Looks quite save and highly observed, eh?

This is the main road on the island. Watch out! Maximum speed is 20km! (But not too many road trains out there...)

This is the oldest church on the hole Cook Island Archipelago.

The Cook Island Maori love sports. Every kind of 'go get the ball'. One day you can see one playing with the soccer team and the next day he plays rugby against a new zealand team. No worries.

And this is the (one and only) harbour on Aitutaki. Have you ever been to Rotterdam or Hamburg? This one don't have to hide. Look, in the center of the picture you can see the container terminal, right?

Tuesday

The magic of the island nightlife

(all these pics are made by Michael)

The dancers of Aitutaki are known to be the best in the southern pacific...

...and later on you have to join them and all the folks are dancing. Great!

No words - trust your eyes...

And that's us again in the middle of the action.

Some more lagoon pics...

So, here are the guys I've been with on my trip: from left: Jan, Michael and me.

And that's Jan and me wading through the warm water of the lagoon. No, there are no sharks. Only the stonefish can kill you.

Monday

Yes, I've been to paradise. In the following post I want to tell you about my journey to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. And we're getting started with the top 1: One Foot Island in the lagoon of Aitutaki which is part of the Cook Islands. On the right you can see me on the coconut tree.
And yes, there are more beautiful pictures for you...
For example this one, which I took (more or less ;) ) standing on the tree. You can see one of my friends standing in the shallow warm water. Lucky him, eh?
